Recommend approval to procure design services from Lominack, Kolman, Smith Architects in the amount of $27,895.00. These services will be used for designing the new restrooms at Bonaventure Cemetery.

This project will replace an existing, deteriorated public restroom building at the Bonaventure Cemetery with a new code-compliant facility. The new restroom will be 300 to 500 square feet and will contain separate men’s and women’s restrooms, a unisex restroom, a storage/utility room, and covered outdoor space. The building will be located inside the entrance to the cemetery and will harmonize with the historic main building and with the exterior setting. The original design amount from the recommended proposer was $32,395.00. However, the design scope was reduced, and City staff will perform the survey and design for the associated site work, utilities, and accessible parking. As such, the proposer has offered a reduction of its fee by $4,500.00.
