Recommend approval of Contract Modification No. 1 for well maintenance with Woodrow Sapp in the amount of $26,662.50. This contract modification is needed to perform additional maintenance for the wells associated with the Water Supply and Treatment Department as required by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division inspections.  

Two bids were previously received for this event. The other bidder, Rowe Drilling Co., Inc., submitted a bid in the amount of $119,040.00.  This contract modification could not have been foreseen by either bidder.  This contract was originally approved by Council on October 15, 2015 in the amount of $114,500.00. The total amount of this contract to date, including this modification, is $141,162.50.
