Recommend approval of Contract Modification No. 3 for tree removal with three prequalified vendors, McKinnon, Inc., Allcare Tree Surgery, Inc. and ArborNature, in the amount of $500,000.00.

This contract is for the removal of potentially hazardous trees and stumps from public properties and rights of way.  The City of Savannah's Park and Tree Department schedules 70-80 tree removals a month, approximately half of which can be performed by in-house crews.  Outside contractors are needed to handle the remaining amount.

The original contract was approved by Council on November 24, 2015 in the amount of $500,000.00.  The total amount of this contract to date, including this modification is $1,700,000.00.
