Recommend approval to renew an annual contract for filter belts with Clear Edge Filtration in the amount of $29,771.00.  The filter belts are used by the Water Reclamation Department to separate solids and liquids during the dewatering process. These filters are stretched along a belt press and travel through a series of rollers which compresses sludge and removes water that may still be trapped in the sludge after it has passed through the gravity draining zone. This is a necessary component in the process for all of the City of Savannah's waste water treatment plants.

This is the first of two renewal options available.  The contract term will be from August 17, 2017 through June 30, 2018.
