Description

Johnson Matthey Process Technologies, Inc. (JMPT), a local employer, has current plans to expand their existing facilities, thereby creating additional economic benefits in the area. JMPT is in need of a portion of unopened City right-of-way contiguous to the expansion for a lay down yard for materials and parking during the construction. If approved, this proposed temporary easement would be effective for approximately 2 years (the estimated duration of construction), and terminate upon completion.

City water and sewer lines are located in the right-of-way.  JMPT has provided a plan to protect all existing utilities and will be held liable and indemnify the City for any and all damages caused. This request has been reviewed by Real Estate Services, Public Works and Water Resources, and Greenscapes.
