Recommend approval to procure replacement switches for devices that are no longer support by Juniper Networks, from Layer 3 Communications in the Amount of $49,999.79. The replacement switches for these devices will be used by the Department of Information Technology to replace switches throughout the City that have reached their end of useful life, and need to be replaced. This is a sole source procurement, because Layer 3 Communications support our Juniper Networking equipment.  It is critical to have maintenance and support from the original provider to ensure authorized, knowledgeable, and timely vendor support when and if it is necessary.
