This notification is to inform Council of the final executed contract amount with TQ Constructors for construction of facilities at Interchange Court in the amount of $37,855,246,88, a difference of $250,000.  This change is due to a bid-day addition to the base bid by the contractor, which was subsequently accepted by purchasing prior to the submission deadline.  Council originally approved this contract for $37,605,246.88 on July 2, 2019.

As a reminder, these facilities include an administrative building, an operations building, a renovated warehouse, a street sweeper building, vehicle fueling and washing facilities, enclosed and open-air storage facilities, City and personal vehicle parking, entrance improvements, sanitary lift station, water, sewer and storm infrastructure to serve the site.  The new facilities will: replace aged Public Works & Water Resources and Central Warehouse facilities; permit the consolidation of City permitting services in one location; and make the site of the current City Lot at Gwinnett St. & Stiles Avenue available for use in support of the Arena Project. 

This project was given a 20% DBE goal with at least 10% of that goal being performed by a local DBE.  The recommended bidder submitted participation in the amount of 31% at the subcontractor level using SABE, Inc. in the amount of 24% and SCD, Inc. in the amount of 7%.
