17. Authorize the City Manager to Execute a Contract for Sludge Dewatering Chemicals with Polydyne, Inc. for an Amount of $199,750. The chemicals are used during the water treatment process for wastewater treatment and disposal at the Industrial Domestic Plant which dewaters up to 8 million pounds of wet sludge a year. Description

This is for an annual contract to purchase polymers, chemicals used during the sludge dewatering process, from Polydyne, Inc. in the amount of $199,750. The chemicals are used during the water treatment process for wastewater treatment and disposal at the Industrial Domestic Plant which dewaters up to 8 million pounds of wet sludge a year. The polymer is used to coagulate raw water and dewater sludge to remove excess water from the water clarification process. 

 

The proposal was advertised, opened, and reviewed. The contract term expires on April 26, 2023. This contract includes four (4) options to renew for an additional one (1) year term.
