Motion to Award Annual Contract with Chatham Personnel Enterprises, Inc. for Summer Youth Employment Temporary Labor Services (Event No. 4800)
Recommend approval of annual contract with Chatham Personnel Enterprises Inc. in the amount of $1,375,700.00 for temporary labor services for the Summer 500 Youth Employment Program.
Most of the cost of this contract will be paid by private employers using the staffing agency services to employ Summer 500 participants. The City's funded portion of this contract is estimated to be $110,056.00, to place 40 youth in various City jobs.
The Summer 500 program matches local youth ages 16 and up with paid internships and workforce training programs, helping to prepare Savannah's youth for the future while providing summer income.
