O.C.G.A. 36-61-7(c), the Urban Redevelopment Law, requires a public hearing to receive additional comments on Amendment 1 to the Savannah Gardens Urban Redevelopment Plan. 

The proposed amendment expands the boundary of the Savannah Gardens redevelopment area by approximately 1.71 acres; modifies the Savannah Gardens Master Plan to reflect the existing and proposed uses of property located within the boundary; and establishes a sunset date for the Savannah Gardens URP of December 31, 2021.

The hearing will formally close the comment period on Amendment 1, which has been made available to the public at Live Oak Public Libraries, the Housing and Neighborhood Services Department office, and on the City of Savannah Website. Public input was also sought and received at informational meetings held at Savannah Gardens on March 2, March 9, and April 2, 2018.
