Notification of an emergency procurement of Palo Alto TRAPS Intrusion Protection from Layer 3 Communications in the amount of $142,640.00. 

This solution is used by the Department of Information Technology (DoIT) to prevent malicious executables and is part of a multi-method approach that prevents and maximizes coverage against malware, ransomware, and cyber exploits.  This approach combines several prevention methods to instantly block known and unknown malware and malicious executables from infecting a system. 

TRAPS has been installed on all end point devices (PCs) and servers on the City of Savannah’s network.  This vendor was selected because it was the first available to vendor to immediately respond with the requisite resources.
