Notification of emergency procurement for Data Center Firewalls from Layer 3 Communications in the amount of $308,614.22. 

The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) will use these firewalls for remediation for the recent malware virus attack on the City’s network.  This upgrade was needed to provide enhanced security within the network to protect against future threats. These internal firewalls will serve as redundant protection to monitor internal traffic within the network and will protect servers from coming dangers. This vendor was the first vendor available to immediately respond with the requisite resources.
