City files reflect that you possess a license to sell alcoholic beverages at The Hub at Montgomery, situated at 4402 Montgomery Street. At the request of the Savannah Police Department, the Mayor and Aldermen directed this office to provide you with official notice that a hearing to show cause why your alcoholic beverage license should not be revoked will occur on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall.

More particularly, and without limitation, on November 7, 2018 your business was cited for failing to cooperate with a law enforcement homicide investigation when you refused to turn over surveillance video. One week later, on November 14, 2018, one of your employees furnished alcohol to an underage person. On December 17, 2018, you were cited for permitting smoking in the building and for allowing on-site consumption of alcohol. Most recently, on February 21, 2019, your business failed an underage operation after furnishing alcohol to an underage patron.

The foregoing events constitute serious violations of the Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance of 2017, including Section 6-1220(a), which prohibits the sale of alcohol to any person under the age of 21 and Section 6- l 207(b )(8), which imposes a duty on a licensee and its employees to cooperate with law enforcement personnel. Accordingly, the City considers your establishment a public nuisance and intends to take appropriate action to the extent authorized by the City Code. See City Code Sections 6-l 207(b)(I )(8) and (9). To that end, at the April 25th meeting you will be required to show cause why your alcoholic beverage license should not be revoked. You may be represented by counsel at the hearing, and you and/or your attorney will have an opportunity to cross­examine all witnesses and to examine any evidence presented.
