| Description This is to procure a replacement hydrogritter from Trillium Pumps in the amount of $135,111. The hydrogritter located at the Water Reclamation Treatment has been in operation for twenty-eight years and is beyond maintenance or repair. The hydrogritter system removes and dewaters grit from the primary sludge or influent for safe transport and disposal. This system also protects the downstream primary clarifiers from damage. The system has proven to remove 220-1570 gallons per minute per cyclone pressure of 5-20psi, which allows grit removal rate of ¾ to 8 ½ tons per hour at a one percent grit concentration. This is a sole source purchase because the equipment is proprietary and the vendor is the only supplier of the equipment. S.S.
