Recommend approval to procure a truck-mounted street sweeper from Environmental Products of Florida in the amount of $267,923.00. The sweeper will be used by the Vehicle Maintenance Department to add an additional unit in the Street Cleaning Department fleet.

The additional unit is needed for the growth in service demand in the outer regions of the City. The City has surpassed existing sweeper capacity, which has resulted in excessive transit times, high overtime, and equipment wear and tear. This sweeper will be capable of highway transit speed, which is necessary to provide more equitable service levels and reasonable operating costs.
